Becoming a FiNN Homecare Carer

FiNN Homecare is looking for individuals who are compassionate and empathic, who respect one another and who are committed to providing dignified care. We are looking for those who are reliable, eager to learn and keen to enrich the lives of those who they care for.

In return, you’ll join a small team of welcoming, loyal social care professionals. Although there will be periods of time when you are working alone, the support of the team and management staff is always available whether that’s by phone, WhatsApp or in person.

We are flexible in our approach and offer a variety of full-time and part-time roles, including school-hours shifts. We value our staff as individuals, recognising that they have their own lives and family commitments too.

We invest in our staff, ensuring that they have access to all statutory and surplus training, so they are confident and competent in their role. Unlike other care companies, we pay our team for their entire shift, not just their client-contact time. We want our team to feel valued – as evidenced by our extremely low staff turnover.

Become a Domiciliary carer

Our dedicated and experienced social care professionals are always looking to welcome new, passionate members to the FiNN Homecare family. Working within the domiciliary team will give you a variety to your day. Short visits may be to assist clients with personal care or specific tasks; longer, more sociable visits may be to engage clients in activities that they enjoy, such as a trip to the garden centre or a ride on the bus.

Comments and feedback are shared via our team WhatsApp group, to ensure that we are all doing the best for those who we care for. Rotas are flexible – we understand that the care industry is a 24/7 job, all year round. Statutory and additional training opportunities are offered, to ensure that you feel confident in your ability and are always up to date with current policies and legislation.

Become a Live-in carer

Our live-in carers are specifically chosen to match with each of our clients. We are keen to hear from you if you have previous live-in care experience, or if you are contemplating a career change and have a wealth of transferable skills.

Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks are essential aspects of this role. You will need to have excellent organisational skills: you may be running the household, collecting prescriptions, doing the food shopping, preparing meals, walking the dog and arranging medical appointments. The role and the tasks are client specific, therefore you need to be willing to give anything a go and still have a smile and be ready to offer companionship.

A driving licence is not essential but may make you more desirable to certain clients.
