Our story, our team
Our family, caring for yours.”
FiNN Homecare has grown by word of mouth to become an established small team of quality social care professionals who are dedicated to needs-led home care. It’s a private company, though works closely with Continuing Healthcare to provide dignified care for those clients who have a specific need and/or are at the end of their life.
Chris Hogan, owner of FiNN Homecare, has 14 years of invaluable experience within the care sector. His entry in social care started when he secured an IT-based job for a home-help company. While there, Chris initially worked as a social care professional, before shifting his focus and introducing the option of live-in care. As Chris’s career progressed, he trained staff, became a care manager and achieved a Registered Manager’s Award, which meant that he could run a care company himself. After an additional seven years and working for another care company, Chris seized the opportunity and, in 2019, FiNN Homecare was set up.
Chris’s family are extremely important to him: the F, N, and N, are the initials of his three children – Finley, Neve and Niall. Chris’s eldest son, Finley, has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and autism. His professional experience of the care sector is further enriched by his personal understanding of care, the challenges and barriers that it can bring and how imperative it is to trust the social care professionals involved with those you love most.
Liz Hogan, Director and Care Manager, joined the care industry in 2001. Liz’s wealth of knowledge and experience is evident in her daily practice that has developed from her varied roles held over the last 20+ years – from social care professional to Care Coordinator and Registered Manager achieving her NVQ level 5. Throughout Liz’s career she has always endeavoured to be present in the client’s care which is something she continues to do – assisting the FiNN Homecare clients with care tasks whenever needed.
Liz joined Chris in 2019 to focus on expanding their small, family-run business. Both are passionate about being able to provide a care service that can give people the quality time that they deserve.
In 2023, Kim Floyd, Qualified Social Worker and Manager, joined FiNN Homecare. She arrived with ten years of experience in social care (mostly with children) and personal experience of FiNN Homecare from the client’s perspective.
Kim’s first interaction with FiNN Homecare was as a customer, seeking care for her late grandparents. Until that point, Kim and her family had been caring for her grandparents without any professional support and had reached a crisis point. Kim worked closely with the team who delivered a combination of live-in and domiciliary care to both of her grandparents (who had a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia). After her grandparents died, having seen the quality of care provided, Kim joined the FiNN Homecare team herself. Kim’s transferable skills and working knowledge of the social care system are enhanced by her personal experience of caring for her beloved late grandparents.
